ICT Officer Oxford e-Research Centre

Oxford e-Research Centre, 7 Keble Road, Oxford Grade 6: £26,004 - £31,020 p.a. The Oxford e-Research Centre (OeRC) works with research units across the whole of Oxford University to enable the use and development of innovative computational and information technology in multidisciplinary collaborations. The Centre hosts the Oxford Supercomputing Centre (OSC). We are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated person to the post of IT Officer at the OeRC. The postholder will have responsibility for managing and supporting the desktop and non-research server facilities for the Centre, this will include aspects of user administration, hardware and software, installation and support, maintenance and upgrades of all office system servers including web, email and storage and security. He/she will also be concerned with the management of the networking infrastructure within the Centre including, wireless, backbone configuration and maintenance. This is a full-time fixed-term position for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 17 August 2012.
