The incumbents will report directly to the National Lean Leader at the Kilner Park Centre and will provide internal expertise and leadership on Lean Manufacturing and the process of transforming conventional operations into lean value streams. The role includes establishing and coordinating a team of internal consultants to support sustained continuous improvement.


Primary outputs:
• Guide and coach the Operational, MPE and Transformation teams in Lean Manufacturing processes • Develop and deliver training in lean tools and techniques to those involved in the change process • Coordinate, guide and drive the overall transformation activity through a combined approach consisting of management-driven work streams • Establish the appropriate infrastructure and environment to support value streams and lean workplace operations • Manage the budget for core team activities and resource budget for the total change team • Coordinate and monitor the financial objectives and implications aligned to the Lean Manufacturing Process • Ensure the ISO quality management system is maintained and used.


Minimum requirements:
• A National Diploma in Industrial Engineering • 5-8 years’ experience in a continuous improvement environment and management of quality systems in an operational environment • 2 years’ experience in the maintenance or process analysis environment.


Knowledge:
• Lean Manufacturing principles • Sound operational/product knowledge and insight of the business • Financial management principles • The Six Sigma system • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite and
MS Project) • Plant maintenance.
