Position Summary: MSI is now accepting applications for its IT Support Internship. The position is available immediately and will last until approximately December 31, 2012, with the possibility for extension based on performance, how well the candidate works with the team, and the needs of the IT Department.
Responsibilities: • Assist the IT Department by providing Tier 1 Support to employees; • Provide Hands on Support to workstations and users; • Support and troubleshoot printers and copiers; • Assist with multi-media setup in the conference rooms; • Coordinate and perform office and/or employee moves of technology equipment and/or services; • Help the department alphabetize and collate files; filing, copying and scanning documents; • Assist with data entry; • Support the IT Department as needed.
Qualifications: • Familiarity with MS Excel and Word required; • Preference given to candidates with a BA who have taken IT courses; • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment; • Strong organizational skills; • Interest in the IT and/or international development field preferred. ccounting and/or international development field preferred.
Internships require a commitment of up to 32 hours per week. Applicants residing or attending school in the D.C. Metropolitan area will be given preference. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. This is a paid position.
