The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. In order to reach its goals, the Company is investing' heavily in its generation, 'transmission and distribution network, its business systems and human capital. TANESCO now invites applicants who are self-motivated, honest:hardworking and committed individuals to fill the under mentioned positions in Ubungo Gas Plant 1

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Be self-driven and capable of working with minimal supervision;
Be capable of delivering excellent results while working under pressure with tight deadlines;
Possess knowledge and competency in related field;
Organizing, Planning and Problem solving skills;
Good team player;
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS: 2 POSTS
REPORT TO: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
REF.N02
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for operating, controlling, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, installing and repairing electrical control systems and equipment in gas engines power generating operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs minor maintenance, adjustments and repairs on electrical equipment including pumps etc.
To operate, control and monitor gas engine generating units and auxiliaries equipment. .
To carry out visual inspection of equipment and. instruments and to report any faults and defects.
To carry out load switching at power house and switchyard .:
To check regularly the power systems according to the instructions by taking hourly readings of instruments, gauges etc.
To prepare and submit status reports on instant, daily, weekly and monthly basis,
To restore the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant fault outages. .
Tests and performs minor repairs on circuit breakers.
Any other related work as assigned by Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Form Four of Six Certificate : .
Holder of Full Technician Certificate in Electrical or Ordinary
Diploma from a recognized learning Institution plus
Certificate of Secondary education
computer Literacy.
One Year Experience
