Amnesty International is recruiting new positions (full-time), based in Berlin (Germany), for our growing international work on technology and human rights:
SENIOR ADVOCACY ADVISOR
You would develop, coordinate and execute Amnesty´s international advocacy strategies on technology and human rights issues. You identify strategic opportunities for intervention and represent Amnesty at relevant international meetings, conferences and forums ensuring outreach and partnerships.
We believe in a free, open and secure Internet. We want to protect the ideals on which the Internet grew: privacy, freedom of expression, access to knowledge and participation. And we are determined to identify and address new threats to human rights in the digital age.
As part of our new technology and human rights hub co-located in Berlin and London, you will be working to combat unlawful surveillance, help to protect activists against digital threats, uncover evidence of government and corporate abuses, advocate for stronger internet governance and campaign for privacy and freedom of expression online.
You will be working at the cutting edge of human rights, using Amnesty’s campaigning, communications and research expertise to work on the way Human Rights can be secured in the Digital Age. You will be working closely with Amnesty sections across the globe and Amnesty´s international network of activists to tackle human rights issues present and future.
