About SMEC
Due to significant growth and development in our Roads and Rail businesses, we have an opportunity for a highly motivated and organised Senior Resourcing Specialist to join our National Team. We are looking for a polished, results-oriented individual who has great appetite for providing a high level of service to our stakeholders and clients. This role has a dual responsibility, in that you will support/coordinate and deliver to a significant major project and also assist in local activities of a thriving consultancy business - The role will have a base in both North Sydney and Macquarie Park.
The key accountabilities of this role will be:
- Manage the end to end recruitment process from graduates through to key senior appointments in both a major project environment and the corporate business
- Delivering leadership and direction on best-practice attraction and selection strategies
- Providing specialist advice to managers on the best method of mapping and sourcing candidates for there are/projects
- Ensuring that compliance and governance is met for all recruitment assignments, including the tracking of all roles and applications via Talent Management System (PageUp)
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and manage key relationships with internal and external stake holders
- Must have experience working in the engineering space (Road, Rail,Transport infrastructure or civils industries) and has built networks in the Transport industry
- Approach in a consultative, intelligent and professional manner and have proven success in the development and implementation of innovative sourcing initiatives.
- Search, source and/or mine for active candidates on our CV database and via external search engines
- Passive candidate research and attraction through networking, referrals and headhunting;
- Sound understanding of the use and application of candidate management systems (ideally in Pageup)
- Good time management and organisational skills with an 'eye for detail'
- Worked in similar role in an agency and/or in house business
- Someone who has and drives values
