WORKSHOP PLANNER AND ESTIMATOR

The role
The Workshop Planner & Estimator is responsible for repair / rebuild estimates, planning machine delivery schedules, preparing workshop documentation, repair quotes and reports for the delivery of new and used mobile equipment. You will need to be organized and adaptable, take initiative in your work and enjoy working in a team.
Key performance areas
  • Estimating, quoting and reporting for rebuilds and repairs
  • Audit and quote Sandvik product range of equipment for repair and evaluations for internal and external customers
  • Creation and maintenance of internal and external estimates for the pre delivery of new mobile equipment and for the modifying of new mobile equipment
  • Ordering and planning parts required for each machine or rebuild
  • Preparation and submission of work orders
  • Communication with suppliers internal and external to schedule component delivery requirements
  • Provide information to support the delivery team in customer invoicing
  • Planning of materials
  • Compilation of equipment audit reports
Your profile
  • Relevant trade qualification or mechanical background (would be an advantage)
  • 3+ years’ experience working as production planner in manufacturing or heavy industry environment
  • Administration or report writing experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with Sandvik products will be an advantage
  • Exposure to maintenance and workshop planning systems would be an advantage
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products would be an advantage
  • Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Regulations
  • Strong safety management culture
