Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology is seeking a
Warehouse Coordinator
Location: Chateauguay, Quebec

Our offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. Currently we have an opening for a Warehouse Coordinator in our Chateauguay office. This role is responsible for the shipment, receipt and distribution of materials in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists with shipping and receiving, unloads trucks, checks in materials and stores in appropriate location
  • Files appropriate documentation
  • Processes sales orders and invoices in accordance with the company process
  • Updates and maintains warehouse location system
  • Assists in cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Prepares export documentation as required
  • Maintains shipping supplies inventory
  • Arranges shipping/ transport
  • Accepts/rejects vendor inventory transactions
  • Ensures adherence to the Environment Health and Safety Act, Environment Safety and Health Administration requirements, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and all other applicable regulations, laws and legislation in Canada and the province the site is situated in
  • Training in basics for selection of PPE, Sandvik Safety Standards, Sandvik EHS Management system, tools and process for achieving Sandvik EHS culture and target performance criteria
  • Complies with SMRT safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements
  • Maintains orderly work areas and ensures housekeeping standards are met
  • Builds sound relationships with the workshop team and internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Participates in customer on-call service as requires
  • Expedites urgent orders to ensure customer receives when needed
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with company values and current company policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate a forklift ( propane, diesel and electric)
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated broad team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Computer literacy- proficient with Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of applicable EHS Legislation
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
