Fundraising Manager ICE - Institution of Civil Engineers

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), based in Westminster, is seeking to recruit an experienced Fundraising Manager. To support our ambitious growth plans we are looking to establish a fundraising function to bring in voluntary donations, including major donors, legacies, and grant applications.

ICE is a leading professional body with 80,000 members worldwide. Its core purpose is to provide professional qualifications, exchange knowledge and best practice, promote the contribution of civil engineering to society, represent our Members in the media and influence government as the voice of infrastructure.

A new and exciting role for an experienced Fundraising Manager has been created to establish ICE’s fundraising function, and define and drive our fundraising strategy.

Key functions will be:

  • Identifying major donors, grants and funds, and legacies;
  • Identifying suitable projects for appeals/grants/individual donations;
  • Establishing and managing a group of volunteers to support your work;
  • Establishing a donor database;
  • Marketing and donor communications, and;
  • Aligning fundraising campaigns with ICE’s sponsorship strategy and the activities of the ICE Benevolent Fund.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in writing trust applications, maximising income from major donors, relationship management and direct marketing experience. You will have a proactive approach and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels. Ideally you will also have a fundraising qualification and have worked in a similar role.

Closing date is 21 March 2011 at 1pm; interviews will be held in Westminster on 29 March 2011.
