Contract management level position in the Travel & Tourism sector in South Africa (Gauteng).
Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Head office Africa division as a Manager Trade Relations Southern Africa (Domestic, Botswana & Mozambique). If you are passionate about South Africa, travel and tourism and possess all the required qualifications and skills, we invite you to apply.

Key Outputs:

  • Key account management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trade, SA Embassies and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify, negotiate and performance manage joint marketing initiatives and campaign participation with travel and non-travel partners.
  • Provide trade support as per the global trade strategy.
  • Conceptualize and implement workshops, road-shows, familiarisation trips, etc.
  • Brief communication agencies on required marketing collateral.
  • Dissemination of Marketing Collateral into relevant intercept points.
  • Trade sales presentations at seminars, trade shows, marketing meetings, product launches, etc.
  • Manage digital trade portal and activities.
  • Collate and update trade database.
  • Formulate and compile business plan.
  • Compile and manage budget.
  • Compile and submit monthly reports.
  • Organise and represent Organisation at various consumer and travel events.

Qualities:
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Public speaking and presentation skills.
Ability to work with the team.
Computer and Report writing skills.
Meticulous financial and budget management.
Strong Analytical Skills (research).
Availability to travel frequently within identified markets and valid passport and driver’s licence.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tourism, sales and or marketing degree or diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in sales and marketing in the tourism sector
  • Previous experience and in-depth knowledge of Travel and Tourism Sector in Southern Africa would be an advantage
