Officer (Parliamentary Committees) in the EEA Coordination Division in Brussels

The EFTA Secretariat provides services to the EFTA States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). In Brussels this entails support in the management of the EEA Agreement, in particular in ongoing decision making for the continuing evolution of the EEA Agreement. The EEA Coordination Division is responsible for the overall supervision of EEA activities and for servicing EFTA’s advisory committees.

EFTA is currently looking for an Officer (Parliamentary Committees) in the EEA Coordination Division in Brussels to support the EFTA Committees of Members of Parliament and EFTA Consultative Committee, and the corresponding committees established under the EEA Agreement: the EEA Joint Parliamentary Committee and EEA Consultative Committee. The position requires the organisation of a large number of meetings and conferences, as well as the provision of information to committee members. The successful applicants will notably be involved in researching, analysing and preparing policy documents on issues of interest to the committees, in cooperation with experts in the Secretariat.
