Program Manager, Malaria and Child Survival

PSI seeks qualified candidates for the position of Malaria and Child Survival Department (MCSD) Program Manager. The MCSD strategic plan focuses on providing relevant support to country platforms to improve child health through:
1) Maximizing malaria prevention with LLINs.
2) Launching and scaling up integrated malaria, pneumonia and diarrhea treatment programs.
3) Piloting new, high impact interventions focused on nutrition, sanitation and newborn health.
The position is based in Washington, D.C. with 25% International travel and reports to the Deputy Director of Malaria Control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has a varied and challenging role providing both budgetary oversight and support to the MCSD in addition to technical backstopping for selected country platforms.
Duties include:
•Supporting the BMGF funded ACTwatch program, the CIDA funded CCM impact program and any new centrally-managed projects; including management of donors, sub-awards, budgets, partnerships, and internal relations and collaboration with project coordinators
•Supervising MCSD financial analyst to regularly monitor centrally-managed grants, preparation of donor invoices, development and realignment of donor budgets, analysis of grant modifications and close-outs, etc
•Developing and overseeing annual budget and mid-year revisions for MCSD and Regional Technical Services Office in collaboration with the appropriate budget managers.
•Providing technical support to MCSD and MCS platform programs including proposal support, development of technical assistance plans, facilitating linkages to technical resources, and TA visits to platforms as needed
•Liaising with regional backstopping teams, functional departments, and other PSI headquarters staff to maintain MCSD HQ communications and advance the MCSD strategic plan
•Coordinating administrative support to the MCSD team, ACTwatch, CIDA and other centrally managed projects with support of MCSD SPA
•Fulfilling other MCSD program management and technical tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Relevant post-graduate degree (MPH, MIA, MBA, etc.) or equivalent experience
•At least four years work experience with at least two years in a developing country
•Knowledge of PSI platform operations and implementation MCS interventions
•Familiarity with the international donor community
•Familiarity with PSI internal systems (contractual and financial)
•Fluency in English and French.
