PATH seeks to recruit the following individual:
Regional IS Administrator
Johannesburg

The Regional IS Administrator will work independently or under the guidance of more experienced PATH IT personnel to act as technical liaison with local or network systems providers, analyse PATH user requests, perform system and PC moves/adds/changes, track and monitor local hardware and software inventory, install IT hardware and software, prepare reports, schedule and perform new hire orientations, perform basic application training and act as a ‘remote hands' resource for more complex implementations. The position is based in Johannesburg, but will execute the job responsibilities for this work in other South Africa offices, as well as countries in Southern Africa, and several countries in West Africa.

Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows 7 and XP Microsoft PC operating systems, Cisco network hardware, third-party firewalls, Wireless LAN technology, Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and Internet-to-private network routing as well as WAN acceleration technology are essential. A 4-year degree plus a minimum of 5 years' technical training at an accredited school, with a concentration in systems or information technology courses, or 5 years' experience in systems administration and troubleshooting PC, system or network hardware and software issues at an organisation of similar technical complexity or size, is required for this position.
