IT / Product Manager

Short Description:

The European Alliance for Innovation; www.eai.eu is a community driven organization devoted to empowering ICT innovation in Europe. EAI enables an environment for the ICT Innovation community to interact in that is both virtual; through EAI web portals and physical; through EAI conferences and summits.

For supporting these activities, EAI develops a comprehensive portfolio of specialized software products intended for both internal as well as external usage. The IT/Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing requirements, and working closely with the various department to ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Key accountability:

  • Gathering of requirements from the various departments, turning these into formal product specifications
  • Definition of the product positioning from a marketing point of view and definition of a roadmap that balance feature against time to produce, production of MRD and PRD.
  • Reviewing the product quality and following up on its release
  • Ensure that the IT product is accompanied with sufficient documentation, gather user feedback, work on improvements
  • Management of the IT team

Required skills:

The ideal candidate would be

  • smart, motivated, focused person with a passion for high quality work
  • ability to manage a team of developers
  • Familiarity and experience using tools such as Visio or similar
  • capable of handling simultaneous threads and work under pressure.
  • experienced in software product management
  • fluent English is required
  • demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • good communicator who enjoys working in a team.
  • forward thinking (with an interest in new things, having played with some bleeding edge software and languages and with ideas about the future of the web, etc.
