TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO SUPPORT THE EASTERN AND SOUTHERN (ESA) CONFIGURATION ON EPA NEGOTIATIONS
Key expert 1: Team Leader
A trade expert will be recruited to deliver the technical assistance. The expert should possess:
Qualifications and skills
- A degree in international trade, international economics, international law or any other comparable qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of French would be an asset;
General professional experience
- At least 15 years experience in the area of trade negotiations;
Specific professional experience
- Knowledge of ACP countries and ESA countries in particular will be considered most advantageous to the assignment
Duration of the mission: 220 working days are considered a minima for the contribution of the team leader: 100% on the ground/region. The expert will be based at the COMESA Secretariat.
Note that civil servants and other staff of the public administration of the beneficiary country cannot be recruited as experts, unless prior written approval has been obtained from the European Commission.
