Engineering Planner HEINEKEN in the UK

What will I do as an Engineering Planner?

This person will be responsible for maintaining the Preventative Maintenance (PM) system including the implementation and adaptation of maintenance plans through the use of the incumbent Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP.

With close co-operation with production and engineering teams this individual will execute the planning strategy through the development, motivation and management of direct and indirect team.

As a Engineering Planner what skills and qualifications will I need?

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship or a degree in an engineering discipline
  • Several years experience of either implementing or improving computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing environments
  • Facilitation & problem solving techniques
  • Understanding of continuous improvement techniques

As a Engineering Planner what kind of responsibilities will I have?

  • Management of the PM system and procedures
  • Plan PM activities for all areas taking into account capacity planning, legal / statutory, resource (Material and Personnel) and cost requirements
  • Hold regular review meetings to monitor effectiveness of maintenance plans and holding stakeholders to account
  • Produce KPIs and graphs to monitor and evaluate PM performance and recommend improvement strategies
  • Reviewing current maintenance strategies and their effectiveness
  • Co-ordination of maintenance activity with Operations
  • Communication of maintenance plans to production and technical teams and influencing to ensure compliance
  • Liaison with Project Managers to ensure that all new plant and equipment is entered onto the maintenance system
  • Liaison with the Reliability team in the development of new maintenance tasks or activities
  • Regular reporting and administration of engineering maintenance budgets to maximise effectiveness of engineering spend
  • Plan, schedule, prepare & close work orders (WO)
  • Support shutdown preparation
