Environmental Consultant - Hydrology

We are seeking a Hydrologist to work with our Environment & Planning team in our Perth office. Reporting to the Section Leader – Water, Waste and Contaminated Land, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to develop their career in a growth-oriented company.
The role:
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Developing water management strategies to include of water conservation, water sensitive urban design (WSUD), groundwater and surface water resources and water reuse
  • Gaining approvals for water management strategies
  • Coordinating and preparing quality technical reports and communication
  • Providing support to coordinate, prepare and submit proposals
  • Liaising with clients and government agencies to deliver innovative solutions to meet client and community expectations
The ideal candidate:
  • Bachelor of Environmental Engineering or similar with 2 – 5 years experience
  • Significant experience in 1D and 2D surface water hydrology and hydraulic modelling and evaluation of water balances
  • Experience with relevant computing packages such as: hydrology and hydraulic modelling (XPSWMM preferred), AutoCAD, GIS and MS packages (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Understanding of WA water legislation
  • Exceptional report writing skills
  • Chartered engineering status (CPEng) considered favourably
  • Exposure to groundwater modelling and/or hydrogeology
