Barrick is headquartered in Toronto, Canada and has 26 mining operations with many advanced exploration projects located across 5 continents and a large number of land positions located on some of the most prolific and prospective mineral trends.
Our Global Mobility department is seeking to strengthen its team by adding a Global Mobility Analyst. The purpose of the role is to support the overall management of the Barrick Gold Global Mobility program, while providing ongoing support to all Barrick Regions, Capital Projects, Exploration and the Corporate Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the Global Mobility Program
  • Support the management of external global/local vendors, manage programs, subscriptions and invoice payments (Relocation services, Benefits administration, Mobility Vendors)
  • Provide training and support to regions and management as an In-house Mobility Expert on the program
  • Provide administrative support for managing expatriate tax processes
  • Tracking and auditing of global program compliance
  • Maintain and update the Mobility toolkit (including: templates, training materials, etc)
  • Track and assess global business traveler’s tax liability risk
  • Support merger and acquisition activity, as it relates to the expatriate population
  • Pro-actively manage expatriate and business traveler risks and considerations for new or potential locations
  • Support the maintenance and tracking of HRIS information pertaining to assignees (Oracle HR and Vendor information systems)
  • Assignee surveys and pre-assignment assessments
  • Support changes and maintenance of rewards and benefits programs as required
  • Support continuous improvement of the Global Mobility function such as preparing cost projections for proposed assignments and researching data sources
  • Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Education:University degree in Human Resources or business-related discipline
  • 5+ years HR (or related) with expatriate/international mobility administration experience
  • Spanish is an asset
Experience:
  • Previous experience liaising with external vendors
  • Working within an organization that has a global footprint
  • Previous experience administering mobility and expatriate programs
  • Dealing with difficult situations (and/or individuals)
  • Ability to produce quality reporting
  • Experience in liaising and communicating with multiple stakeholders globally
  • Experience in Oracle HR and Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is highly desirable
  • Previous experience and/or detailed working knowledge of international tax is desirable
