Programme Assistant – East Asia Oxfam Hong Kong

(International Programme Unit) (2-year contracted post)

Work with people against poverty! Oxfam Hong Kong (OHK) is a member of the international confederation Oxfam and an independent development and relief agency based in Hong Kong. We are looking for talented, high calibre staff to join our anti-poverty work.

S/he will provide support to the Programme Support Team, East Asia Team, Humanitarian & Disaster Risk Management Team and Regional Coordinator to ensure the effective and efficient deployment of programme support services in East Asia. S/He will ensure the efficient processing of programme administration cycle; assist in policies and guidelines development; support the development and maintenance of unit level information systems and assist in preparation of reports.

The successful candidate MUST have the following qualifications:

• Tertiary educated with 3 years of working experience, preferably in a NGO setting
• Experience and skills in project / administrative systems development, management and maintenance
• Ability to analyze narrative and financial information and provide summary reports as required
• Ability to prioritize work, be well organized, work independently, including working across different teams and cultures
• Good interpersonal and communications skills and attention to details
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficiency in the use of word processing programs, spreadsheets and database
• Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision and able to articulate OHK’s programme

This position will be based in Hong Kong without any expatriate or relocation package provided.
