LOCATION: London EC1R 0BJ
CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – 12 months
SALARY: £35,800 – 38,327 p.a pro rata

The role


A highly professional and motivated HR Business Partner is required to provide sound HR and employment law advice and operational HR support for 57 ActionAid International staff that are based in London.

You will be responsible for providing an effective, customer focused and effective human resource service for managers and staff, including but not limited to:
• HR Management of ActionAid International staff based in the UK
• Recruitment & Selection
• Employee Relations
• Remuneration & Benefits Management
• Policy Development & Compliance

Who we are looking for:
• Degree educated
• Chartered Member of CIPD
• Proven demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role coupled with expertise in organisational change projects, employee relations, policy development as well as best practice recruitment and selection.
• Proven experience in advising and coaching managers in leading, supporting and motivating staff and teams.
• A pro-active approach to HR business partnering
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR management trends.
• Strong analytical strategic thinking and planning skills.
• International experience is highly desirable.
• Proven experience of leading and developing HR strategies, policies and best practice and standards.
• Ability to coach managers in taking responsibility for people management is essential, as is the ability to build successful working relations in an international environment.
