Eurogypsum is looking for a project Manager (PM) to manage a Life+ project with 16 partners, in the field of waste management. The contract is for a pre-determined period of three years from 1st January 2013 until 31 December 2015. The Project Manager reports to the Secretary General of Eurogypsum who is the head of the Project Management Bureau (PMB). The PMB reports to the project steering committee.
The title of this EU co-financed project is C2CGYPSUM- Cradle to Cradle: A circular economy for the European Gypsum Industry with the demolition and recycling industry.
Responsibilities
  • Overall Coordination of the activities of the 16 partners (ensure that partners meet deadlines for their deliverables with the quality required);
  • Draft accurately and synthetically, the technical reports required by the Life+programme;
  • Prepare monthly accounts of the project based on an analytical accountancy;
  • Gather the financial justification documents of the partners expenses (timesheet and invoices);
  • Prepare the financial report required by the Life+programme in coordination with the auditor;
  • Coordinate the dissemination of the project by drafting press-release, organizing seminars, exhibitions, the conference at the end of the project and giving presentations to vast audience on the results of the project;
  • Draft the layman report (requirements of Life+programme);
  • Prepare the sitemap and content of the project website;
  • Network on the project with NGOs, European and national governmental organizations, stakeholders active in the construction market;
  • Organize and prepare the steering committee meetings and other internal project meetings where Eurogypsum is the coordinator (draft agenda and minutes, ensure follow up of actions);
  • Coordinate the activities of the project with the Eurogypsum recycling working group;
  • Assume the logistics of the project meeting and events;
  • Communicate (preferably in different languages) with technical experts from various disciplines;
  • Organize his/her travel and accommodation.
General requirements for this position are:
  • 5 years experience, including as a major asset the management of EU co-financed projects;
  • University degree, if possible a Master’s degree in project development and management;
  • Fluency in English both written and oral, French and German an asset;
  • Proven accountancy and financial experience;
  • Proven marketing and communication experience
  • Proven organisational and coordination experience;
  • Availability to travel.
