WWF International, Financial Application Project Manager

We are looking for a Financial Application Project Manager to lead the process to establish the Oracle software and IT infrastructure solution(s) in selected locations, in line with the WWF operating model at an affordable cost.

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager who can use their experience in helping roll out the solution and drive continuous improvement to the financial processes of the organization.

Location and contract:

WWF International office in Gland, Switzerland.

This is a 3-year contract.


Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the process to evaluate which configuration of IT infrastructure and financial software best meets the individual countries and regional requirements at an affordable cost;
  • Coordinate finding solutions on complex business issues that have significant impact to the offices, and across office processes and functions due to the implementation of ERP;
  • Lead the ERP project, including project risk identification and management, project planning, maintaining and controlling budget, resource allocation, change management strategy;
  • Responsible for effective project communication;
  • Manage the evolution of the project scope, risk and issue resolution;
  • Responsible for quality of project deliverables;
  • Manage integration of packaged solution into offices technical architecture and operating needs and environment;
  • Ensure the project can deliver the benefits outlined and it meets the reasonable expectation of end users (as determined by the Steering Group on a case-by-case basis);
  • Involve the steering group at appropriate time for key decisions.


What you need:

Required Qualifications
  • At least 10 years experience coordinating financial systems projects with stakeholders in many countries preferably in the NGO sector;
  • Recognized business degree and project management qualification;
  • At least one successful ERP implementation project as Project Manager (preferably with Oracle);
  • 3 to 5 years of leadership responsibility managing teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, strong communicator, facilitator and negotiator able to bring out all important view points and get agreement from key stakeholders;
  • Methodical and well organized, with a proven ability to organize, direct and coordinate team efforts to achieve outcomes within budgetary and time restraints;
  • Works well with others in an integrated team environment;
  • Self-motivated and problem solver;
  • Intercultural competence;
  • Excellent command of English, any other language an asset;
