Person specification/Qualifications

General

• Respect and act in line with the principles, values and competencies expected of AMURT International (South Sudan).
• Management competencies are also required for this post. Managers provide vision and direction, represent the organisation and manage performance to achieve goals and build the organisation.

Specific

• Fluency in English is essential for this position
• A Masters Degree in a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years management and program experience in a similarly wide-ranging role
• Previous experience working on capacity building and livelihoods or food security programmes in Africa with proven practical experience of analysis, assessment, participatory techniques, and programmes and personnel management
• Experience of working with partner organisations with significant training and counterpart development skills.
• Proven practical experience of applying systems to manage organisations and Programmes.
• Excellent report writing skills
• Good communication skills.
• Good understanding of relief and development issues and knowledge of international standards and good practice
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
