Communications & Documentation Specialist

IntraHealth International Rwanda is recruiting a Communications & Documentation Specialist for the HIV/AIDS Clinical Services Program (HCSP) funded by USAID Rwanda. The Communications & Documentation Specialist for the Rwanda HIV/AIDS Clinical Services Program (HCSP) is responsible for promoting and enhancing the visibility of HCSP activities and achievements internally within IntraHealth International and externally to a wider audience, including donors, governments, and other partners. S/he must possess strong skills and experience in media, communication and public relations. S/he reports to the Program Manager but also works closely with other colleagues on the development and dissemination of news articles, promotional materials, presentations and other communications documents.

Bachelors degree in communications, journalism or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Fluency in French and English
• Experience in media, communications and/or public relations
• Experience working with international development organizations preferred
• Working knowledge of international health and development
• General knowledge of HIV/AIDS technical terms and programs
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Powerpoint and desktop publishing software
• Ability to work in high pressure environment and to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability work with minimum supervision, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
