Centre for Integration Studies

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is a young and dynamic multilateral financial institution founded in order to foster economic growth and integration processes in the Eurasian region. The EDB current membership comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

The rapid intensification of integration processes in the post-Soviet space dictates the need to develop and deepen high-quality applied research on the matter correlated to the Customs Union, the Common Economic Space, and the regional financial integration. Recognising this challenge, the Council of the Bank approved the establishment of the EDB Centre for Integration Studies. The Centre will be entrusted with the organisation of research activities, preparation of reports and recommendations to the member states on the matters of regional economic integration. The Centre will be located in the Bank's branch in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

The Centre looks for engaging personalities to fill the following vacancies:

Head of Projects (CIS/E1-trade and CIS/E2-finance). You will be entrusted with the principal responsibility for large research projects. You will supervise research work and the outsourcing of projects. You possess extensive academic and practical expertise in economic integration issues (trade and/or financial integration) and management of research projects. You will travel extensively and communicate with the Centre's beneficiaries, contracting parties, and the mass media.

Head of Projects (CIS/E3-administration). An indispensable and disciplined professional, you will focus on administrative and budgetary tasks, including planning, budgeting, and reporting. You will also foster relations with our contracting parties, beneficiaries, and the Advisory Council. You will also guide the organisation of round tables and public events.

Editor (CIS/E4). As the Centre develops an extensive line of periodical and ad-hoc publications, you will apply your experience of editing and technically managing economic publications to the activities of the Centre. You will also contribute to their distribution.

Specialist (CIS/E5). An engaging and enthusiastic personality, you will provide meticulous support to our analysts, including the preparation of digests, the fulfillment of administrative tasks, and the organisation of public events.

For all positions, Russian as a native tongue and the ability to communicate and write effectively in English are required. Citizens of the EDB member states are strongly encouraged to apply. Closing date: 10st May 2011.
