Duties: The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of the University HIV and AIDS Strategy. This will entail but not limited to: (i) the overall coordination of all HIV and AIDS activities to include implementation and updating of the University of Botswana HIV and AIDS Policy; (ii) working with staff and students on HIV and AIDS programmes and integrate them into the curriculum and co-curricular activities including the workplace; (iii) organizing and coordinating meetings of key stakeholders on HIV and AIDS and other related issues; (iv) organizing events and implementing programmes related to HIV/AIDS in line with the national strategy; (v) leading all fund raising activities relating to HIV and AIDS; (vi) setting and maintaining high standards of confidentiality. Requirements: Applicants should have: (i) a minimum of Master’s degree, but preferably PhD in Nursing, Public Health, Health Education, Social Work, Counseling and Human Services, or related areas; (ii) functioned at a senior level and have experience in management, teaching and research in HIV and AIDS related work; (iii) experience in HIV and AIDS programming, organizational and management skills, ability to provide campus wide leadership, ability to write and produce reports within deadlines; (iv) strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, good computer skills, an assertive and innovative management style, and the ability to work with students.
