Job Description

  1. To ensure availability of all instruments
  2. To reduce instruments down time and ensure safety of instruments and employees.
  3. To provide information and advise on the upcoming projects / technical development.

KEY OUTPUTS

  • Maintenance of instruments and automatic systems in brew house, filter room, utilities and Laboratory; It involves implementation of a computerised maintenance system of SAP, which covers maintenance and calibration of all instruments, laboratory equipment and Scada systems.
  • Budget and expenditure control; Support control of running spares for instruments, Scada systems and Laboratory equipment. The budget also covers external calibrations and maintenance.
  • Support Instrumentation Engineer raising monthly technical reports; Supposed to make low-level monthly reports on performance of automatic systems, laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Control of spare levels; Support Electrical Eng, & store manager to control the levels of running spares for laboratory equipment, instruments, scada and automatic systems
  • Suggest improvements in the Manufacturing controls that impact on Quality, Cost reduction, Delivery, Safety & Morale.
  • Verifying received spares; Works with receiving bay in stores to verify the received spares for instrumentation and automation section.
  • Support Supervision contracted services.
  • Maintaining and updating records of instruments and laboratory equipment in SAP. Also update and maintains calibration records.
  • Provide specifications and technical information on spares, instruments and equipment to be purchased.
  • Implement health and safety standards and the permit to work system.
  • Writing working instructions for automatic systems and laboratory equipment to assist in Best Operating Practice.


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Ordinary Diploma in Electrical or Higher Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

SKILL/KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of computer applications
  • Knowledge of Brewing, Packaging and Utilities operations

    Manufacturing management principles and techniques

    Understanding of Process Control, Performance Measurement and Total productive maintenance skills

    Atleast 3 years of working experience in industrial electronics and electrical machines
