MS Windows Engineer

The Position

This job is located in Head Office — Information Communication Technology (ICT) Division. The Windows Engineer is charged with the setting up and maintenance of the Bank’s Windows Server platform and environment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Setting up, configuration and day to day management of windows servers and related applications.
  • Configuration and regular management of windows systems security for the enterprise
  • Day to day support of the windows platform to maximize uptime of the supported applications
  • Keeping the windows system at par with all relevant developments affecting stability, availability and security of systems.
  • Setting up, configuration and day to day management of Microsoft Exchange for the enterprise.
Job Specifications & Competencies

Applicants should be between 35 — 45 years of age and possessing the following
  • Bachelor of Science degree — Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or other related science disciplines.
  • At least 5 years experience in a large windows networked environment or 5 years working experience from a service provider supporting corporate clients on windows platform.
  • Must be a Microsoft systems engineer for windows 2000 or later versions with MS Security and/or MS Exchange options.
  • Should be self-driven and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work out of town and at odd hours as may be necessary.
Enterprise Risk Officer

The Position

This job is located in Head Office — Risk Department. The Risk officer will provide support in provision of Risk oversight to the institution and in building an integrated risk management framework to identify, evaluate, manage, measure and monitor enterprise —wide risk management.

Key Accountabilities
  • Effectively participate in Development and establishment of systems, policies and procedures to identify, control, manage and measure enterprise-wide risk for the Bank.
  • Support in ensuring that enterprise-wide risk management policies, controls and procedures, are effectively implemented, disseminated and complied with.
  • Offer support and development in compilation of pertinent analytical Risk Reports for Senior Management and the Board to facilitate active risk oversight.
  • Participate in ensuring that the Bank’s risk framework is in accordance with regulator guidelines and in conformity with general requirements.
  • Implement the Banks’ risk management policies, procedures and controls as guided by the Risk function.
  • As a Risk Management team member, ensure audit and BCM compliance of the business units within the Bank in a timely manner in line with statutory regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain ethical outlook through implementation of Ethics Compliance framework and encouraging compliance to standards and procedures.
  • Provide good support in establishing a comprehensive and continuing training program on the various risks that the Bank faces so as to embed knowledge of policies and procedures across the business.
Job Specifications and Competencies

Applicants should be between 35 — 45 years of age and possessing the following
  • A Degree in business related field with excellent ICT skills. Qualifications in Accounting/Banking will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years proven risk management experience in Banking Operations, or in a compliance environment with an appreciation of risk management processes.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements, business line classification and general banking procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and attitude necessary to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all management and staff in general.
  • Specialized training in risk control environment plus either CPA or ACCA
  • Operational risk assessment management skills
  • Business and Financial analytical skills
  • Process methodologies awareness
  • Independent judgment with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
