Programme Development and Funding Officer - Great Lakes Region

CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading aid agencies, is looking to fill a position for Programme Development and Funding Officer for the Great Lakes region.

The Programme Development and Funding Officer will support our programme staff and partners in the Great Lakes region in developing high quality programmes and projects, ensuring CAFOD and our partners obtain significant institutional donor funding for its development and humanitarian work, and maintain and strengthen our relationships with key donors.

You will be required to work with a range of different institutional donors and on a number of different technical programmes. To undertake this you will need extensive international experience in potentially insecure environments together with a proven track record of developing successful funding proposals and writing and presenting reports to donors. Experience of working in the Great Lakes region would be an advantage. You will need excellent communication, finance, strategic and diplomacy skills as well as being an effective team player. Fluent spoken and written French is essential for this position.
