1. JOB PURPOSE

• Overall coordination and management of the Technical Hub to ensure timely provision of technical assistance support on SRH-HIV integration to project partners.

2. KEY TASKS
1. To establish and manage a Technical Assistance Hub (TA Hub) that will assist Country Coordination Mechanisms (CCMs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to develop strong integrated Global Fund Proposals in the eight project countries in the Region (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) through Member Associations (MAs).
2. To develop and maintain database of technical experts on SRH-HIV integration, Global Fund Proposal development, Gender Equality and Financial Management.
3. To coordinate with selected consultants and ensure timely responses to country requests for technical assistance on integrated proposal development for submission to the Global Fund.
4. To ensure project partners and CSOs have the technical capacity to produce strong proposals on integration for submission to CCMs.
5. To build capacity of CSOs on SRH-HIV Integration, Global Fund Proposal development, Gender Equality and Financial Management.
6. To support the development of relevant training modules on developing suitable proposals for submission to Global Fund.
7. To undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.
8. To undertake the above tasks in collaborations with other relevant staff members at SARO and MAs.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

4. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
• At the minimum, the post holder should have a Graduate degree in a social science related subject or equivalent standard of education.

5. PROVEN ABILITY
Minimum level of professional experience required to do the job:
• At least 5 years experience in the field of managing large capacity building programmes and/or conducting trainings on HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights in a South Asia setting.
• Previous experience of working with and understanding of the Global Fund mechanisms is essential, including experiences of proposal development for Global Fund.
• Excellent understanding of the associated technical issues in integrating HIV and SRH.
• Understanding of sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender and women’s issues is essential.
• Previous experiences of having managed a large team of consultants will be desirable.

6. SKILLS
• Excellent training skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Skills in module development.
• Excellent written communication skills required to write a variety of documents
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proven organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
• Fluent in English and other language(s) spoken in the South Asia Region.
• Good IT skills – ability to use MS Office.

7. PERSONAL COMPETENCE

Approximately 50 travel days for year.

Annual gross salary for the above position is Rs. 6,48,000.
