invites applications for the position of Senior Gender Policy Advisor, P-5, at its Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

Responsibilities: In this position, you will be a lead player in managing FAO's strategic results on gender equality in access to resources, goods, services and decision making in rural societies. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team developing state-of-the-art policy and planning advice to FAO member countries to ensure that agriculture, food security and rural development programmes and policies are gender responsive. You would become a world expert in policy analysis, managing for results, strategic partnership building, communications, resource mobilization and monitoring and reporting.

Requirements: The minimum requirements include a Ph.D or equivalent in Economics or Social Sciences, 10 years' relevant work experience in programme planning and delivery and in policy analysis related to gender in agriculture, food security and rural development. Fluency in English, French or Spanish and limited knowledge of one of the other two or Arabic, Chinese or Russian.
