Willis Lecturer in Weather and Climate Risks for Insurance

Grade 7 – £33,734 to £45,336 per annum

We are seeking to appoint a talented scientist with an outstanding research record to join the Department of Meteorology for the permanent post of Lecturer.

The Willis Lecturer will undertake teaching and research related to the interests of the Willis Research Network and the Department of Meteorology, as well as developing close partnerships with business and communicating the Science developed within the Weather and Climate Hazards Laboratory and the Climate Risk Hub.

You will have:

• an outstanding research record in a subject that builds upon or complements our existing strengths in the Department of Meteorology
• the ability to build and lead a research group
• evidence of experience in working in or with industry
• the desire to contribute to our internationally renowned undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes
