The HEA is a national body for enhancing learning and teaching in higher education in the UK. We work with institutions across the higher education system to help bring about change in learning and teaching to improve the outcomes for students. We do this by recognising and rewarding excellent teaching, bringing together people and resources to share best practice and by helping influence, shape and implement policy.

The HEA supports staff in higher education throughout their career from those who are new to teaching through to senior management. We offer services in 28 disciplines throughout the UK and have offices in England, Wales and Scotland. Through our partnership management team we work directly with institutions to understand individual circumstances and priorities and bring together resources to meet them.

The ADOM will provide coordination for service/project activities, ensuring colleagues receive appropriate support and advice to ensure effective deployment of HEA resources, while supporting colleagues in the development and monitoring of budgets of services and project-based work (including forecasting), to ensure the good financial health of each service/project area.

The post-holder will ensure effective account management of consultants. They will also ensure that KPIs and targets are built into contracts and are monitored and delivered and that HMRC and financial protocols are followed.

The ADOM will also coordinate and manage the work of administrators, support and develop the HEA resource centre to provide relevant information, advice and guidance to individuals and the wider subject and discipline communities and proactively promote and market services.
