CONSORTIUM MANAGER - EMERGENCY RESPONSE

CARE is seeking an experienced Consortium Manager to be responsible for managing and facilitating the work of the Emergency Consortium project at the country level, and ensuring an integrated approach in project implementation among Consortium partners in the achievement of project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the Consortium project
  • Information sharing
  • Monitor overall project implementation
  • Oversee Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
  • Oversee grant agreements with donors and sub-grant agreements with Consortium partners
  • Oversee joint planning and reporting by Consortium partners
  • Management of the overall project budget
  • Oversee financial transfers
  • Mitigate financial risks
  • Represent the Consortium project
  • Support the development and implementation of the Consortium’s advocacy strategy

Required:

  • Post-graduate degree in social/political sciences, arts or in a humanitarian assistance related field
  • 5 years of project management experience (planning, monitoring, evaluation) in humanitarian context, including in a leading position.
  • Experience in organizational representation, coordination and liaison.
  • Experience in narrative and financial reporting on complex projects to international donors.
  • Experience in implementing projects within partner networks or consortia; experience in managing such networks / consortia a strong advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Yemen and abroad
  • Excellent conceptual, planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving capacities.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), knowledge of Arabic an advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to manage stress, multi-task and take decisions.

Desired:

  • Cultural sensitivity and proven experience in working in the Middle East strongly desired
