Impala - Rustenburg

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• A Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
• A 3-year relevant diploma/degree in Communications
• At least 2-3 years’ previous experience in the communications environment
• Computer literacy (MS Office package)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• A valid driver’s licence
• A valid medical certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
• Knowledge of and experience in graphic and web/intranet design software (eg Corel Draw, Sharepoint) will be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Advising and participating in the planning, design and execution of communication plans and campaigns in line with the communications strategy
• Ensuring that line management is supported and empowered to become communicative leaders
• Taking ownership and managing the various communication channels in respective area of responsibility
• Measuring the impact and effectiveness of internal operational communication through various feedback channels such as spot surveys, forums, focus groups and by executing research projects
• Actively participating in and managing the employee communication forum by utilising it as an effective two-way communication channel
• Ensuring that the MERIT Award system is managed in the area of responsibility
• Ensuring regular reporting on internal communication and its effectiveness in the area of responsibility
• Undertaking regular scanning of the internal and external environment so as to identify and report on issues that can potentially affect employees and the company.
