| To manage the Group survey function, system and to provide quantitative research data to Core and OU HR |

| Key Tasks: Surveys: • Manage the effectiveness and use of the MTN Voice survey system • Liaise with MTN SA IS regarding the upgrading of the MTN Voice system across the Group • Manage the implementation of the MTN Survey Policy across the MTN Group, including oversight over all compliance issues • Exercise “dotted line” management of the technical capabilities of the OU survey administrators • Implement the biannual Group culture survey conducted externally • Establish the MTN Group survey calendar, including: o Twice yearly Internal satisfaction surveys for all service divisions in every OU o Annual (alternate to the external ISR Culture audit) tracking in every OU • Provide the OU HR heads with the framework for sample or population culture surveys within each OU, including: o Template design o Survey methodology and questionnaire design o Norming o International standard comparison o Timing and scheduling o Interpretation in principal and consultation on detailed interpretation; o Provision of reporting standards, templates and guidelines o Develop and assist OU HR heads with internal survey design o Standardisation and implementation of standard surveys required by Core HR, e.g. internal satisfaction surveys for service divisions o Collation of survey data at Group level, including Group reporting o Selection of and participation in appropriate external surveys applicable to the MTN Group o Maintenance of historical data in respect of Group surveys
Reporting • Acquisition, collation and recording of all non-financial HR data • Establishment of Group processes for deployment of HR data management in the OU’s • Reporting on consolidated HR metrics • Ensure ease of access to reports and alert management to reports available • Create functionality and tools for management reporting including proforma reports • Establishment of the technical capability for integrating HR data with other applicable data sources within the Group • Updating standard benchmark data from external sources and maintenance of the applicable data streams • Calculation of such indices from the data as are applicable to MTN HR • Specification of the data reporting needs from OU’s to Core HR • Exercise quality oversight with regard to OU data integrity
Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Tasks • Manage relationship with the MTN SA Information Systems divisions and the HR heads in all OU’s and Group companies; consult to all clients in the fields of systems, data, interpretation and reporting. • Project manage on behalf of Core HR all vendors operating for Core HR in this regard

| Post-graduate qualification in Industrial Psychology, registration as a psychometrist |
|
|
| • 2 years in application of psychometric instruments and the quantitative analysis of data in that regard • Survey design experience, specifically in the HR field • IT project management, systems design and development • Formal exposure to benchmarking practices |

| Knowledge: • Excellent knowledge of Survey tools, Information systems and trend analysis • Knowledge of MTN as a Group • In depth knowledge of HR function
Skills / physical competencies: • Research and analyse of trends and surveys • Ability to deal with diversity • Comfortable with high pace of change • Sensitivity to range of cultures • Comfort with technology and means of communication • Exceptionally high level of numeracy
