Our Special Advisory Services Division provides advice and technical assistance. The Economic and Legal Section operates as an in-house consultancy offering policy, legal and economic advice and assistance on investment and related matters, particularly the exploitation of petroleum and mineral resources, facilitation and regulation of foreign direct investment and the delimitation of maritime boundaries.
Working independently or in a multi-discipline programme team, you will provide policy and legal advice to governments and regional organisations with a focus on maritime boundaries and the law of the sea. Travelling overseas frequently, you will help to prepare extended continental shelf submissions and develop relevant national legislation.
With a first degree and post graduate qualifications in Law or an equally advanced legal qualification, you must have specialised for several years in maritime boundaries and/or public international law.
You must be able to operate effectively in our multi-cultural setting and be a national of a Commonwealth country.
