Manager Public and Media Relations at Ericsson

We are now looking for a Manager of Public and Media Relations that can take us to the next level. The role as Manager of Public and Media Relations will be instrumental in creating and securing integrated, clear and easily accessible information for traditional and new media to expand Ericsson's brand perception from a telecom company to a leader in ICT.
The role will be part of the Corporate Affairs and Communications Team, reporting to the VP of Public and Media Relations, RNAM. .
Job Description
Main scope:
  • Help set Public and Media Relations communications plan, prioritized goals and targets to establish wanted perception within Corporate Affairs & Communications.
  • Increase Ericsson's coverage in measured Share of Voice publications.
  • Expand awareness within social and digital media.
  • Work together with VP Marketing, Public Affairs & Internal Communications for aligned messages and campaigns.
  • Work closely with External Communicators in the GF, BU and Regions to extend messages and create awareness of RNAM to other organizations within Ericsson.
  • Create external messages that support RNAM's strategy.
  • Help train and coach executives and subject manage experts to become world-class spokespeople for Ericsson in North America.
  • Help manage external channel strategy: External web-sites, external editorial and external blogs.

Qualifications

Professional Competence
  • 1-3 years experience in external communications.
  • Knowledge of and substantial experience with social and digital media platforms.
  • Understanding of business fundamentals, market logic and global business trends.
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural environment.
  • The position holder must be communicative and comfortable in presenting the offering internally and externally
  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred
