Tourism Officer
Salary: R170 676 - R221 544 per annum (plus benefits) (Ref. SEDT0004)

Minimum requirements: • Diploma in Tourism or Information Management or equivalent NQF level • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Computer literacy • Valid driver’s licence.

Core responsibilities: • Liaise with Tourism Authorities at national, provincial, intra-provincial and intra-city level for effective cross-selling • Develop, implement and manage tourism Information Management Systems • Research and manage content of information • Provide input into the formulation of divisional operational and capital annual budgets aligned with IDP and tourism information provision requirements • Liaise with relevant information structures within EMM and other Municipalities • Maintain the tourism website • Conduct regular tourism statistical surveys • Be responsible for skills transfer and management of Interns and ensuring effective product knowledge • Perform other ad hoc duties and tasks as assigned by the EM: Tourism Development.
