This is your chance to help shape the user-centered future of model-based design tools in the building industry. As a User Interaction Designer for Autodesk Revit at the Autodesk China Research & Development center in Shanghai, you will be responsible for user experience design and usability of best in class applications for the building industry built on the Autodesk Revit platform.
As a User Experience Designer, you will work with top-notch teams of engineers in the world to create and enhance Autodesk's world-changing design products. You will be part of the team of software development professionals who take pride in delivering the broadest product portfolio for digital design, visualization, and simulation of real-world projects that reach millions customers around the world.
As a User Experience Designer, you will help design the software the world uses to design.
Responsibilities:
· Conceptual and detailed design of the user interaction for specific features of the Building Design product (including low fidelity wireframes, task analysis, UI flow charts, and high fidelity mockups representing appropriate layout and control relationships).
· Provide domain expertise in building design and assist team members with user research and specification development.[Chris 1]
· Coordinate and facilitate usability tests and other customer research to validate existing and future feature design (including paper prototype testing)
· Provide expertise in user research activities including persona creation, heuristic evaluation, interviews, and site visits including ethnographic observation.
· Track development issues and drive closure of design projects related to improving usability.
· Maintain familiarity with other Autodesk products to ensure compatibility with features shared across our product family.
· Consult with others in the division and company on user experience design as required; provide leadership in methods and deliverables for user-centered design processes.

Desired Knowledge/Technical Skills:
· Undergraduate degree in a design discipline, HCI, Human Factors, Computer Science, or post-secondary education in related field
· A demonstrated understanding and/or professional background in the building design industry a plus
· Ability to develop interactive prototypes and documentation to aid development in the implementation of proposed user models
· Technical background and/or a demonstrable understanding of modern software development processes and concerns as they relate to design
· BS or MS degree in architecture/MEP/structure design[Chris 2]
· 3+ years experience in user interface design, or related design discpline
· Previous experience designing for complex creative applications, 3d tools, and/or engineering analysis tools, and building industry applications, a plus
· Expertise with design support tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio
