Documentation and Information Officer – 1 position

Summary of position

Reporting to the Programme Quality and Learning Coordinator, the Documentation and information offer key role will be to support the impact measurement and knowledge management (M&E aspect) within the programme quality and learning component plus utilization of multimedia/ICT

Key Responsibilities and tasks

Application of multimedia in documentation of evidence based Monitoring & Evaluation • Managing multimedia projects like photography, filming, producing videos • Compile good practices, Most Significant Changes & support researches and surveys • Responsible for information management and maintaining a resource centre for the programme for easy accessibility and institutional memories • Responsible for designing visibility products like interactive video clips, fliers, brochures, reports plus maintaining program web link and creating/maintaining social media accounts • Support the Programme quality and learning unit in monitoring programme performance and impacts.

Requirement:

  • A minimum requirement of a degree in Mass communication or Journalism, Library and information science or Information Science and Technology
  • 2 -5 years experience in information and records management
  • Proven experience in videographer/photography is required • Knowledge of multi-media platform and software (adobe Photoshop, premier pro)
  • Creativity and new-media savvy • Knowledge of IT and data management e.g. website maintenance and social networking
  • A team player with excellent inter personal, communication, training, presentation, Planning, organising, Supervision analytical and Leadership skills.

Sub-Grants Coordinator -1 position Summary of position.

Reporting to the Program Manager – NUWEP, the Sub- Grants Coordinator’s key role will be to provide support, coordinate and supervise the sub-grants management process (selection) disbursement and monitoring) for both local & international sub grantees plus strengthening institutional capacities to ensure effective and efficient utilization of funds.

Key responsibilities and task include:

To coordinate the Sub-Grantee selection process • Responsible for coordinating disbursements and carry out Sub-Grant monitoring with all the budget holders • Responsible for the development , implementation and monitoring of the Capacity Development Plan for all sub- grantees and CARE staff • In charge of Sub-Grants Information Management and ensuring that the Programme Manager and Country office sub coordinator are provided with monthly updates • Responsible for providing oversight supervision and advise to the Programme Manager on any donor compliance related issues to ensure consistency.

Requirement:

  • Minimum of University degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Professional Accounting qualifications e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA is required
  • Computer skills in MS Office Application and relevant database software is a 'must'
  • Knowledge of INGO operations and sub-grantee management is preferred
  • 3 years experience at a middle or senior management level in accounting, auditing and grant management
  • Ability to carry out audits, trainings and assess financial risks plus wide knowledge on grant management processes
  • A team player with excellent inter personal, communication, presentation, planning, organising, supervisory, analytical and decision making skills are desired.

Program Component Specialist – Peace-Building and Conflict Resolution -1 position

Summary of position

Reporting to the Deputy Program Manager – NUWEP, the key role will be to maintain an overview of peace and conflict indicators / drivers in the program area and offer direct technical and general support to partners through facilitating program implementation and advocacy for women participation in peace process through promotion of dialogue and reconciliation

Key responsibilities and tasks;

Maintain an overview of peace and conflict indicator plus coordination of peace building and conflict resolution approaches in the program area • Take lead in strengthening the capacity of implementing partners • Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the peace building and conflict resolution component in collaboration with partners • Manage relationships and represent CARE with partners and other stake holders in pursuit of the program goals.

Requirement:

  • A Minimum of a University Degree in the related field plus a Post graduate qualification in Peace building, Law, Social Policy analysis with relevant training on peace and conflict studies is a ' must'
  • 3-5 years of professional experience and knowledge of UN Security Council Resolution of Women, Peace and Security - women participation in peace processes; knowledge in dealing with resource-based conflict, especially land matters.
  • Experience in Conflict Sensitive Approach in programming is required.
  • Experience of working with conflict affected people and dealing with multiple stakeholders and interest groups is desired
  • Strong skills and experience in MS Office (and other computer applications). M&E, advocacy and report writing, participatory planning techniques is required
  • Experience of supporting and supervising others in developing programs that promote gender mainstreaming/equality, forgiveness and reconciliation is desired
  • Should be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Component Manager – Socioeconomic Livelihoods — 1 position

Summary of position

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Programme Manager – NUWEP. the post holder will assume the main role of providing overall leadership expertise on the development and implementation of NUWEP’s socio­economic livelihoods Domain of Change II – to enable women and girls affected by conflict gain the information, skills, support, access and opportunities to pursue and ensure resilient and sustainable livelihoods. Key Responsibilities include:

To provide strategic leadership to the NUWEP’s Socioeconomic livelihood component • In charge of the Telethon and Thune Foundation funded youth livelihoods initiative • Program design and management of • Responsible for Resource mobilization through formulation of proposals • Supervise and manage performance management of staff • Responsible for representation and managing relationships amongst CARE partners and all stakeholders, in consultation with the Deputy Program manager • To develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for Program Quality and learning for socioeconomic livelihoods plus the development of tools for program developments implementation

Requirement:

  • Minimum of a University degree in development studies, development economics plus post graduate qualification preferably in Agricultural Economics OR Micro- finance OR Natural Resource Management OR Community and Rural Development OR Social Policy" and Planning is a "Must"
  • 5 years progressively relevant experience in the design and implementation of livelihood projects with NGO;
  • Technical expertise in financial inclusion and access to financial services for the poor
  • Solid skills in research and analysis, project reporting and budget management are required • Field experience in sustainable rural livelihood projects using gender analysis community-based approach and methodology plus familiarity with focused PRA/PLA/ SAA techniques
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, individual organizational, powerful analytical skills and commitment plus ability to display gender sensitivity and adaptability.
