Main duties and responsibilities:
Overall responsibility:
Manage projects and activities at the Central European Policy Institute, a new regional think-tank established by the Slovak Atlantic Commission. The work includes fundraising and project development, supporting organization’s research base, identifying opportunities for growth and managing various projects, often several at the same time.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Long-term planning of the organization’s regular and project activities;
- Planning for, developing, implementing and following-up on projects;
- Fundraising for the organization and its projects, searching for grant opportunities and writing projects;
- Building partnerships and relationships with interested parties outside of the organisation;
- Managing advocacy activities as well as public relations for the organization and its project.
Requirements and qualifications:
Required qualifications:
University degree in relevant field.
Skills:
Language skills:
- English – fluent
- Slovak and other Central European languages an advantage.
- Additional languages welcome.
Computer skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Required experience:
Experience of non-governmental organisations, working with projects within them and managing people a distinct advantage.
Personal skills and other requirements:
- We are looking for a goal-oriented individual to manage the CEPI’s activities and projects and support the research team;
- We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, motivated, creative team player, with the ability to form define his own agenda and work independently.
- The ability to lead teams of researchers and foreign policy professionals on various projects;
- Excellent people skills and the ability to understand how to keep people motivated;
- Good strategic thinking and the ability to carry out strategic projects independently;
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills are a necessity;
- The ability to come up with new ideas, projects and improvements;
- Multitasking skill and time management skills: you will be responsible for several projects at the same time;
- Networking skills;
- Keen understanding and knowledge of international relations, particularly in the region;
- Flexibility to travel abroad for business trips and conferences.
