Bahrain Polytechnic - Faculty of Business

The Bachelor of Business (BBus) commenced its third-year courses in September 2011. It continues to grow in popularity and expects its first graduates in September 2013.

Majors are currently available in Accounting, Marketing, Finance & Banking, Management, and, in the future, Human Resource Management. As each year progresses and the subjects become more specialized, more specialist tutors are needed to develop and teach each subject.

The School of Business requires curriculum leaders specialised in Accounting and Management to take a leadership role with the development of each Major. The Curriculum Leaders will be responsible for ensuring streamlining of the courses within their Major, and working with other Curriculum Leaders to ensure courses are coordinated across all Majors.

Curriculum Leaders will also be required to teach, with the intended work breakdown to be 0.8 development work and 0.2 tutoring. The ratio of teaching/non-teaching time may change in the future, depending on the needs of the Business School.
