Summary: The Director of Program Support and Coordination will direct and administer all day-to-day operations for programs / projects related to Maternal and Child Health, Education Resource, and Sustainability Development. He/she will be responsible to the Country Director of Health Services to provide direction and leadership to management staff to ensure the delivery of quality health care services and wellness programs are delivered. As the primary liaison to the Program Partner(s) (USAID, US Embassy, DFID, UNFPA, AUS AID, NGOs etc.) he/she must ensure good coordination between Hope Management, Hope Hospital, and Hope Rural Clinics regarding process evaluation priorities, plans, and activities.

Description of Duties: The Director of Program Support and Coordination is responsible:
• Directing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating collaborative programs with all Program Partners (USAID, US Embassy, DFID, UNFPA, AUS AID, NGOs etc.) • Ensures that an adequate range of services, programs and interventions that support quality health care are available to authorized beneficiaries at Hope hospital and all Rural Clinics • Ensures coordination between Program Partner(s), Hope hospital, and Rural Clinics. • Develops and Manages the tracking and review of all costing instruments, methodologies, and reports • Oversees and coordinates all designated Hope program monitoring • Provides up-to-date, evidence-based technical guidance and support to the Hope Hospital and Clinic Teams and the Country Director • Identifies opportunities for and/or provides direct capacity building for county programs and Hope staff • Provides technical and programmatic oversight of Hope programs and assures timely and quality deliverables to Country Director • Represents the project’s activities to the Program Partner(s) through the participation in and/or organization of conferences, workshops, and seminars, and through a range of technical reports, briefs, publications, and presentations • Provides administrative oversight to clinic personnel and ensure there is adequate training/resources to deliver on initiatives • Implements procedures to ensure contract personnel have appropriate orientation, training and evaluation of clinic procedures • Performing any other duties as deemed necessary Education: • Bachelors (BS / BA) Degree or Above in Nursing and/or Health Care Administration • Licensed Certified Nurse/ Midwife

Desirable Education:
• Previous work experience in a multicultural environment or a UN, NGO or related multilateral organization will be an advantage • Post graduate degree in Public Health, International Development, other health related areas or disciplines (or currently in school), or equivalent work experience

Experience:
• Must have 3 - 5 years experience in program management in an administrative healthcare setting with emphasis on planning, operations, finances, systems development • Experience with international development / international education programming / country-level implementation, highly desirable • Excellent human relations and communication skills are required to maintain an effective working relationship with the Physician Assistants (PA’s), Registered Nurses (RN’s), Paramedics, EMT’s, Pharmacy and Lab Technicians, and Supply Technicians • Ability to interact with established networks of senior level international healthcare professionals, donors, and other partners • Previous experience in preparation of successful proposals • Must present the demeanor of a health care professional • Individual will rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals • Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint • Knowledge and experience with donor requirements for program implementation and reporting requirements • Strong detail orientation • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with funding instruments such as grants, subgrants, agreements, etc. • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Must read, write and speak English fluently • Ability to travel • Ability to speak Bengali is a major attribute

Functional Skills and Knowledge:
• Knowledge of public health issues and health systems in the area of international health development and sustainable development • High level of technical and managerial competence with knowledge of planning, directing, monitoring and evaluating health and health related programs pertaining to the areas of work • Ability to exercise sound professional judgement • Leadership and supervision ability to foster team spirit and team work • Capability in program planning, development, implementation, logistics, and/or monitoring and evaluation
