Position: Chief of Party, SPANS/GSM RFA#8

Description: Project HOPE seeks a Chief of Party for a USAID- World Learning funded Special Programs to Address the Needs of Survivors (SPANS) Grant Solicitation and Management (GSM) Program. Duration: Up to 30 Months. Location: South Sudan Background: The primary purpose of this project is to provide appropriate and sustainable rehabilitation services to people with disabilities in conflict-affected countries through initiating or improving rehabilitation therapy within a variety of service delivery models.

Chief of Party Responsibilities: The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership and management of the project and will oversee administrative and financial operations. She/he will serve as the primary HOPE liaison between World Learning, USAID; service Centers, and other key stakeholders. She/he will be responsible for achievement of project results, enjoy the autonomy to manage the project, in consultation with USAID, World Learning and other stake-holders responding to the local needs, and submit reports to USAID and HOPE HQ.

Note: This position is contingent on receiving funding through USAID/World Learning.

Minimum Qualifications: •Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or areas directly related to providing services to persons with disabilities. •At least seven years of experience implementing and managing donor-funded projects in developing countries. •At least five years of experience in advocacy and/or service provision for persons with disabilities preferred. •Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, promoting strategic planning, and careful budget management. •Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
