Malaria Consortium independent progress review (IPR) at mid-point of its Programme Partnership Agreement (PPA) with the UK Department for Internationa

Programme Partnership Agreement

CALL FOR INTEREST Malaria Consortium is inviting expressions of interest from an experienced evaluator/team to conduct an independent progress review (IPR) at mid-point of its Programme Partnership Agreement (PPA) with the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

Malaria Consortium is the world's leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the control of malaria. In collaboration with public and private partners the organization applies its depth of technical expertise and practical experience to develop and implement smarter solutions that improve and save lives. Beyond malaria, it works to control childhood illnesses, with a more recent additional focus on treating and preventing neglected tropical diseases.

In 2011, Malaria Consortium was one of 40 agencies to successfully bid for funding from the UK Department for International Development under the Programme Partnership Agreement (PPA) funding stream. Malaria Consortium has used its PPA grant to support strategic initiatives for malaria prevention and control across seven countries. The initiatives include a broad range of technical areas, including diagnostics, integrated community case management, insecticide resistance management and increase awareness of malaria. The PPA is being used particularly to increase the body of high quality evidence available and, crucially, to ensure this evidence informs appropriate changes to policy and practice. The PPA is also being used to strengthen critical areas of the organisation and further the goals in its strategic plan.. The IPR will need to capture elements of each of these components: technical, communications and organisational strengthening.

How to apply:

Applications should be submitted to Tonja Schmidt, PPA Programme Manager, by email to t.schmidt@malariaconsoritum.org by GMT 13:00 on 13th August 2012.
