Main duties and responsibilities:
Overall responsibility:
Manage one of the programmes of the Slovak Atlantic Commission. The work includes leading and supporting project managers, identifying opportunities for growth and managing various projects, often several at the same time.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Plan and create a vision for the programme and its strategic goals
- Lead key projects, including planning for, developing, implementing and following up on projects
- Fundraising for the programme and projects
- Building partnerships and relationships with interested parties outside of the organisation.
- Advocacy and public relations for the programme and its project.
Requirements and qualifications:
Required qualifications:
University degree in relevant field.
Skills:
Language skills:
- Slovak – fluent
- English – fluent
- Additional languages welcome.
Computer skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Required experience:
Experience with project management, event management. Work in the non-governmental sector an advantage.
Personal skills and other requirements:
- We are looking for a goal-oriented individual to lead the public and expert events programme of the Commission.
- We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, motivated, creative team player, with the ability to form define his own agenda and work independently.
- The ability to manage events and projects from inception to realisation and follow up.
- The ability to lead a team of young professionals in complex projects.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to understand how to keep people motivated.
- Good strategic thinking and the ability to carry out strategic projects independently.
- Excellent Slovak and English writing and speaking skills are a necessity.
- The ability to come up with new ideas, projects and improvements.
- Multitasking skill and time management skills: you may be responsible for several projects at the same time.
- Networking skills.
- Keen understanding and knowledge of international relations, particularly in the region.
- Flexibility to travel abroad for business trips and conferences.
