Research Assistant ICF GHK

ICF GHK

Brussels, Belgium

ICF GHK is one of the foremost providers of policy support services to the European institutions. Our team - working from offices in Brussels, London and Warsaw – provides research, evaluation, impact assessment and technical assistance services to many Directorates-General of the European Commission and European agencies. We have in-depth expertise in EU policies that range from migration to the environment, employment to innovation, and justice to innovation.

Our Brussels-based team provides evaluation, research and technical assistance services to EU institutions, particularly the European Commission.

We are looking for Research Assistants to support the Brussels-based team in a wide range of activities, including background research, arranging fieldwork assignments, data analysis, interviews and, occasionally, accompanying colleagues on site-visits.

You will have a strong academic record and be able to demonstrate an interest in the areas we work in. Ideally, you will have gained relevant work experience in a similar environment, in order to contribute effectively to a wide variety of projects across the European public policy agenda, particularly assignments for the European Commission.

Our successful applicant must have a good knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods. This will mean that you will have a strong first degree in a relevant discipline, EU policy, finance, economics and some practical experience of applying different research methods. Experience of working for the European Commission and a foreign language would be desirable.

A team player, you will be quick to learn, flexible and adaptable. In addition to having excellent oral and written communication skills, you will possess self-confidence and the discipline to manage your own time and work to deadlines.

In return, we will provide you with the support and training to enable you to develop your public policy consultancy and analytical skills. We will provide an environment where your intellectual and practical abilities are enhanced in a positive and challenging way.

We will only contact applicants shortlisted for interview.

We are an equal opportunities employer.
