Research Manager, Nigeria & West Africa

  • Support the Business Unit Knowledge & Insights Manager to provide the franchises and business unitwith leading edge consumer insights, research processes and tools that facilitate decision-making against business needs.

  • Support the brand, country and franchise marketing teams in application of research processes

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure research briefs submitted by brand, country and franchise teams are in line with agreed standards

  • Coordinate all research initiatives and ensure Company resources and suppliers are optimally primed to ensure they deliver against business needs

  • Efficiently drive research process with research houses

  • Analyse and interpret results to deliver business case needs

  • Maintain marketing knowledge and insights library

  • Coordinate for ad hoc requests and compile data and reports

  • Prepare reports/presentations of research results by efficiently communicating critical learning’s, consumer insights and conclusions in order to provide actionable recommendations to audience

  • Manage the research budget and supplier contract and payment processes

Financial /Job Scope


  • No direct responsibilities – ensures marketing team budgets are sufficient to achieve desired results

Organizational Impact/Influence


  • Extensive High Level Strategic / Operational Interaction with: Strategic Marketing Managers, Franchise Marketing Managers, Brand Managers,

  • Nature and Purpose of the Interaction: Provide support to the brand team to ensure research initiatives follow the appropriate process and in turn deliver the desired results upon which business making decisions can be made.

  • Supporting Service: Franchise and Country Marketing Teams, Research Agencies

Required Experienc


  • 5-8 years job experience in a Research Agency or FMCG industry in a similar function

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
