Trainer Or Trainers In Conflict Sensitive Development
The OSCE Academy seeks one or two (working as a team) trainers to create and conduct a training in conflict-sensitive development.
Place: OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Target group: 15-20 junior and mid-level professionals from civil society and governmental organizations from Afghanistan and Central Asia
Time: 10 full days (Monday-Friday) to be conducted between 29 October and 9 November 2012.
Fees: internationally competitive. Travel and accommodation are covered.
Trainers’ qualifications:
· MA ( Ph.D. a plus) and relevant work experience
· Preferred field experience: Afghanistan, mining and infrastructural projects, ethnic, religious and political conflict.
· Expertise in governance in extraction industries and issues of transparency and corruption, notably in application to war contexts, would be a significant plus.
Content of the training:
· The training focuses on the actual cases and the problems of working with governments, civil society, contractors and donors; principal-agent interaction, difficulties with attracting investment and influence of local politics.
· The trainer(s) design a final test based on which the course certificates will be awarded (the content and design of the test are discussed and agreed beforehand).
· Cases should preferably be from Afghanistan, other conflict zones and Central Asia.
· Cases dealing with large infrastructural or mining projects would be a significant plus
· The training materials should include references to online and other sources for additional reading
